With a background spanning community relationship development, project management, marketing, and operations, Maitland is known for her ability to excel in multifaceted roles.
Before joining Dye Culik, Maitland played a pivotal role on the leadership team of a grassroots organization, guiding it from its inception to becoming a prominent entity in the Charlotte community. Her journey with the organization equipped her with invaluable experience in navigating the challenges inherent in small business growth. Her operations and management proficiency and knack for fostering meaningful connections make her an incredible asset to the firm and our clients.

Can you give me a little background on where you grew up, went to school, and majored in?
I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Asheville and Hendersonville, NC. I attended college at Appalachian State University and majored in Marketing. I absolutely love NC and moved to Charlotte right after graduation and never wavered to move elsewhere.
What are some of your passions (hobbies & interests)?
I am a bit of a foodie, so I love to both cook awesome dishes and dine at nice restaurants. I also love spending time with my family, watching my boys play soccer, traveling, and shopping with my sister and lifelong friends.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
I always credit God first for everything I have and all that I am. Beyond that, I would absolutely say my parents. They have taught me to enjoy both the big and small things in life, how to make everything a celebration, and how to cherish the relationships in your life that fulfill you the most.
What do you value most and why?
Relationships. There is much to be said about the many connections formed throughout a person’s life. Each one significantly impacts the next step your life journey will take you. I have learned to reflect on relationships that have since faded because I recognize they had their purpose and taught me something along the way. I needed them to take me to the next stage. However, I deeply hold close to the ones who continue to lift me up and help me to become the best version of myself that I can be.
What inspires you to work in this industry?
I have always been a “doer” who likes to see projects and tasks through to completion. I also tend to have a huge heart to help make meaningful connections with others on a personal level. These qualities combined allow me to become an asset to a client, as I understand the need to listen and make their experience seamless and pleasant. I enjoy seeing people create new businesses as a sign of growth, but I also like to help clients solve existing problems to make an impact however I can. I really enjoy the relational aspect of this role because it allows me to work one-on-one with so many to help make their experience with Dye Culik successful.
What is your proudest achievement outside of your career?
No question- my two boys. They are kindhearted, generous, athletic, funny, and very special to me. I could go on and on and on... But I am beyond proud and extremely thankful that I get to be the one they call mom.
What’s something on your “bucket list”?
I would love to tour the vineyards of Napa under no strict budget with the people in my life whom I enjoy most and who appreciate good music and great wine.
Best piece of business advice?
Always value and respect those around you. No one gets through their career alone; it is absolutely a team effort. Your regard and appreciation for both internal relationships and external connections ultimately equate to the overall success and happiness of everyone around you.
